My Sustainability Goals for 2025:

Transition to an All-Electric Public Transportation System
I hope to see Hong Kong transition its entire public transportation system to electric vehicles. Replacing traditional buses, taxis, and minibuses with electric alternatives can significantly reduce carbon emissions and improve air quality, setting a regional precedent for environmental innovation.

Reduction of Plastic Packaging Waste
Another goal is to tackle the excessive use of plastic boxes, bags, and other packaging materials in Hong Kong. Implementing stricter regulations and promoting biodegradable or reusable alternatives can substantially reduce plastic waste and encourage a more sustainable consumer culture.

Cleaner Beaches and Natural Environments
I would like to see cleaner beaches and better-preserved natural environments. Regular clean-up initiatives, preventing illegal dumping, and enforcing environmental protection laws are essential to maintaining Hong Kong’s natural beauty and ensuring it remains pristine for future generations.

Martin is the Regional Representative Asia of Wind Turbine Technology & Solar Quality Procurement, ABO Energy KGaA. He handles the supply chain in procurement, logistics, quality, ESG and related issues in the region.

He is the sub-committee chairman (ESG and Green Finance) of Hong Kong Association for Testing Inspection and Certification, and member of sustainability Work Group German Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.

Prior to this, he served in a leadership role in quality and sustainability service provider TUV Rheinland Hong Kong. He is a R&D engineer in electronics. He has the qualification as Certified ESG Analyst®, internal auditor of greenhouse gas emission, and information security management system.

Arianna Ji is the Sustainability Manager at STARTEAM GLOBAL, a German PCB manufacturer with over 35 years of expertise and operations across Asia, Europe, and North America. She leads transformative projects across ESG strategy, reporting, and supply chain sustainability. With a background in finance and economic statistics, Arianna brings a data-driven lens to sustainable procurement and circular product innovation.She remains an instrumental driving force, having achieved the EcoVadis Silver Medal and ensured alignment with EU ESRS and GRI standards. A certified sustainability professional, Arianna has completed the UN Global Compact Climate Ambition Accelerator. Fluent in four languages, she champions inclusive, resilient, and globally connected supply chains.
